Productivity #3: Keyboard Shortcuts

The purpose of keyboard shortcuts is to provide fast and efficient navigation of the features for power users of the annotation tool.

Built-in shortcuts in annotation tool

The annotation tool has short cuts for navigation like left arrow to navigate to the previous image, right arrow to navigate to the next image. Here are all the built-in keyboard shortcuts:

  • Go To Next Image: RIGHT
  • Go To Previous Image: LEFT
  • Go To Next Thumbnails Page: SHIFT + RIGHT
  • Go To Previous Thumbnails Page: SHIFT + LEFT
  • Save Annotations: CTRL + SHIFT + S
  • Delete : DEL or Backspace
  • COPY : CTRL + C
  • PASTE : CTRL + V
  • UNDO : u
  • REDO : r
  • Tool: Pan – Enable / Disable : p
  • Tool: Magnify – Enable / Disable : m
  • Tool: Segmentation: toggle between Segmentation & Brush : s
  • Toggle between Paint & Erase : e
  • Increase brush size: +
  • Decrease brush size: -

User defined keyboard shortcuts in Label Builder

User of the tool can define their own keyboard shortcuts as part of the labels. To activate a class in the annotation tool user can specify a keyboard shortcut in the label builder:
